When you put your home on the market, chances are your buyer will schedule their own inspection. Getting ahead of that step with your own pre-listing inspection allows you to stay in control and minimize surprises.
A pre-listing inspection can benefit you by:
Offering a clear, unbiased view of your home through the eyes of a third party trained professional
Identifying safety issues that should be addressed before agents or buyers walk through
Uncovering urgent concerns like radon, active termites, or structural problems early
Giving you the opportunity to handle repairs in advance—on your terms and timeline
Helping prevent last-minute negotiations or delays during closing
Allowing you to choose trusted, affordable contractors—or tackle repairs yourself
Enabling you to price your home more accurately and confidently
Reassuring potential buyers and possibly reducing their need for additional inspections
Strengthening your disclosure and protecting you from future liability
